Director, IC Design and MSB Bengaluru Site Lead

About the Role The Director, IC Design and MSB Bengaluru Site Lead will staff and lead MSB’s Design Team in Bengaluru with a mission to build a strong RF/Analog IC design and verification team. This role connects with the Mobile Solutions Business and collaborates closely with design teams in the US and other locations, acting as the internal site advocate and driving recruiting and staffing. You will lead a team of engineers focused on IC designs and layout, participate in design reviews, and contribute to the company’s strategic goals. What You'll Do

• Report to the VP of Engineering in the US and manage a team of Managers and Engineers with matrix reporting to US-focused IC design, verification and layout teams
• Drive recruiting and staffing initiatives with HR to build a world-class team of IC designers, verification engineers, and layout engineers
• Provide technical leadership as the IC Design & Technical Leader for front-end module design
• Manage large technical teams, grow successful design teams, and set clear goals with accountability
• Leverage AI tools to improve productivity, efficiency, automation, bug-tracking and reporting
• Serve as the voice of the Design Site, communicate strategy and goals through all-hands and regular updates to US upper management
• Coordinate frequent technical meetings and design reviews with counterparts abroad and travel to the US on a regular basis What We're Looking For
• Excellent written and spoken communications to present program status and schedules to senior management
• Strong experience with Cadence EDA tools and knowledge of commonly used IC layout tools
• Knowledge of 2D/3D EM simulation tools and ADS or equivalent simulators
• Deep understanding of RF SOI technology including RF switch, tuning, and RF LNA design
• Experience in and understanding of core analog/RF IC design and verification, and layout
• Proven track record of leading and growing large technical teams
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment and work across sites
• Willingness to travel to the US on a regular basis
