About the Role The Director at SESI oversees the administration and instructional leadership of a special education and alternative education program. This role includes driving school-wide performance, managing operations and budget, and ensuring high-quality supports for students, families, and staff. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered.
What You'll Do
- Advance student potential by collaborating with teachers to deliver individualized services in small groups.
- Monitor student behavior, track progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning using SESI's instructional model.
- Ensure academic policies and curriculum are followed; develop and track benchmarks for success.
- Support teachers, address concerns with students and parents, and facilitate problem resolution with administrators.
- Enforce discipline appropriately; create an unbiased, inclusive learning environment.
- Lead development and implementation of school-wide PBIS program; oversee IEP meetings and progress documentation.
- Manage enrollment, daily operations, and coordination among departments; maintain records (financial, licensing, student, employee).
- Develop and maintain the school budget; analyze profit and loss; collaborate with Finance for reports and forecasts.
- Support HR policies, professional development, staff trainings; manage facilities and infrastructure as needed.
- Build and sustain relationships with district officials, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Stay current with best practices in special education and ensure evidence-based strategies are implemented.
