YOUR MISSION

Together with the VP Global Wholesale, the Director Global Wholesale Operations will elevate our commercial practices/operations and build a best-in-class Center of Excellence dedicated to the wholesale distribution.

The role will be instrumental to drive & execute the commercial strategy and provide business guidance to regions by setting-up the appropriate process, rules and guardrails.

To be more specific, the Director Global Wholesale Operations will lead and deliver the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the wholesale strategic plan: make suggestions/recommendations to enrich, structure and/or further develop the deck on a regular basis.
  • Drive the execution of the wholesale strategic plan in each region and with each category. Track progress & results and ensure the action plan is executed.
  • Act as a liaison between global functions, regions and key markets to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and business objectives.
  • Be the lead for everything regarding the sell-in process and calendar. Define and recommend appropriate changes to optimize sell-in. Drive the communication with regions and other functions (especially GTM and categories) and ensure the information is provided in a timely manner to all stakeholders.
  • Lead sales meetings at Brand Business Summit ensuring regions and markets have the full toolkit ready for sell-in. Drive any conversation when forecast from regions/markets is required.
  • Act as the main gatekeeper and the expert of strategic commercial initiatives such as the distribution strategy (framework & criteria), trade terms and service levels. Provide guidance to regions and ensure diligent implementation, in accordance with global governance. Travel to key countries/clusters when relevant in order to facilitate education & training on these topics.
  • Together with the Global Wholesale team members, contribute to set-up a solid S&OP process, in order to better steer our buy and control our inventory and flow.
  • Drive the implementation of Joint Business Plans, ensuring format consistency across regions and selected global strategic accounts (top 20-25 accounts).
  • Prepare wholesale targets for each region and ensure they are sent as early as possible
  • Review sales forecast with regions and markets prior to submission. Ensure alignment with global guidance or, if any gap, pro-actively flag risks or opportunities.
  • Improve process and tools in order to improve the sharing of sell-in results, especially our POs and orderbook status at every order placement deadline and after sell-in meetings with strategic accounts.
  • Improve process and tools in order to improve the sharing of sell-out results. Provide guidance to regions and account teams to think like retailers and use relevant retail KPIs.
  • Be the commercial contact person for the Categories for any event with wholesale customers. Assist with the preparation of these events, communication with accounts and presentations.
  • Attend customer meetings such as Previews/Prelines and sell-in meetings when relevant. Act as a facilitator and support the Sales team to find growth opportunities.
  • Support the VP Global Wholesale in implementing a new business model that grows sell-through & turn, infusing a retail mindset internally.
  • Support the planning, preparation and/or hosting of key meetings for the VP Global Wholesale and Board Level with internal and external stakeholders.

YOUR TALENT

  • Extensive experience in Wholesale Sales, Commercial Strategy, Business Planning, Sales Operations, or a related commercial leadership function within a global organization.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale business models, distribution strategies, customer management, and multi-channel commercial environments, ideally within sporting goods, apparel, retail, or consumer goods.
  • Proven track record of driving commercial growth through strategic planning, forecasting, Joint Business Planning, and sales performance management.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to translate market, customer, and sales insights into actionable business decisions.
  • Experience working across multiple regions and markets, successfully influencing stakeholders in a complex global matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated success leading commercial excellence, process improvement, and transformation initiatives.
  • Extensive leadership experience, ideally at a global level, with a proven ability to collaborate with and influence senior executives and C-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; advanced qualifications are a plus.
