As a Director Engineering, Insurance Core & Reporting, you will lead and oversee International Banking ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Establish and evolve the culture and recruitment practices team, focusing on positioning the Insurance Technology team as a leading-edge organization that attracts, retains, develops and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values and business strategy of Scotiabank and IB Technology and managing succession and development planning for the team that will be delivering projects for the International Bank.
- Ability to lead and influence teams that do not report directly to them.
- Maintain/enhance subject matter expertise for the Insurance Team by staying current with evolving industry best practices in technology and technology people management, deploying relevant learning's, tools or methodologies.
- Provides guidance and innovative thought leadership.
- Support the Scotiabank IT strategy with a clear value proposition, methodologies, training, tracking, communication at all levels, and change management.
- Work with business partners and functions in achieving cost efficiencies while driving innovation and aligning to the needs of both internal and external customers.
