Director, Employment, Labor & Product Litigation

About the Role Director, Employment, Labor & Product Litigation is a senior role within Hyundai's HR, Facilities, and Legal operations in Fountain Valley, CA. It blends HR leadership with legal risk management to defend the company in disputes, negotiate and draft contracts, and manage regulatory compliance. The role collaborates across HR specialties (HRBP, Total Rewards, HRIS, Talent Management/Development, HR Strategy), facilities (Security, Purchasing, Vehicle Administration), and the Legal Division to advance Hyundai and Genesis business objectives. What You'll Do

• Lead and coordinate HR, facilities, and legal activities for Hyundai and Genesis brands, including HRBP, Total Rewards, HRIS, Talent Management/Development, and HR Strategy, along with facilities operations (Security, Purchasing, Vehicle Administration).
• Provide legal and HR strategic guidance across the organization, including defending the company in warranty, product liability, class action, IP matters, and other business cases.
• Negotiate and draft contracts and other transactional documents with vendors and suppliers to advance business objectives.
• Develop and optimize relationships with authorized dealers who are on the front lines of sales and service operations, and build relationships with governmental, regulatory, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance in day-to-day operations of the company, including privacy, licensing, insurance, and employment-related guidance. What We're Looking For
• Experience in HR and/or Legal functions related to Employment, Labor, Product Litigation, Talent Acquisition, or related areas.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Facilities, and Legal teams; strong contract negotiation and vendor/dealer management skills.
• Knowledge of privacy, licensing, insurance, and employment-related guidance; ability to engage with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive initiatives across HR, facilities, and legal domains. Nice to Have
