Job title: Director, Data Acquisition and Governance
About the Role In this vital role, you will lead the governance, vendor lifecycle, contracting coordination, and the operational backbone for Amgen's commercial data acquisition function. You will ensure current and future commercial data assets are governed, contracted, documented, accessed, renewed, audited, and supported through scalable processes and compliant operating standards. This role partners with cross-functional teams to operationalize approved data strategies and ensure new or existing data assets are transitioned into appropriate governance, onboarding, access, documentation, and steady-state support models.
What You'll Do
- Define and oversee compliant Commercial Data governance, vendor lifecycle standards, contracting coordination, Data Catalog standards, third-party access processes, operational controls, and documentation requirements.
- Ensure current and future commercial data assets are governed, contracted, documented, accessed, renewed, audited, and supported through scalable processes and compliant operating standards.
- Lead vendor relationships, data rights, access pathways, and operational controls to enable business strategy and responsible data use.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to operationalize approved data strategies and ensure data assets are transitioned into governance, onboarding, access, documentation, and steady-state support models.
- Collaborate across Global Customer Capabilities & Innovation, Technology, Enterprise Data, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Procurement, Finance, CfOR, and external data vendors to maintain appropriate controls.
