About the Role Director in Fitch Ratings’ North America Corporate, Infrastructure and Project Finance Group based out of New York, Chicago, or Toronto. The role focuses on the analysis, execution and rating of infrastructure and project finance transactions, particularly energy and power assets in the US and Canada. What You'll Do
- Lead ratings analysis, execution and research on new and existing North American transactions
- Evaluate innovative credit structures and participate in global criteria development
- Identify trends, assess their credit impact, and present these trends in industry and market reports/presentations
- Gather and analyze quantitative/qualitative data and legal documents to produce ratings and credit reports
- Develop and maintain relationships with other Fitch analytical groups to ensure consistency and efficient transaction execution
- Mentor junior team members What We're Looking For
- 8-10 years of solid project finance/infrastructure credit experience
- Experience developing credit or underwriting approaches for new sectors
- Proven project finance and infrastructure credit skills from banks, rating agencies, or buy-side
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think expansively about opportunity and risk in evolving infrastructure landscapes
- Excellent modelling skills and proficiency with spreadsheet-based financial models
- Ability to read complex structures and ask probing questions to issuers/advisers
- Demonstrated ability to lead and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and be flexible with responsibilities Nice to Have

- Professional background in capital markets and/or credit analysis
- Experience interpreting complex legal documents (bank agreements, bond indentures)
