About the Role Under direction of the Director, the Director, Institute Computing Operations oversees Delaware Biotechnology Institute’s Windows, Mac OS, UNIX and Linux-based computing infrastructure and other IT systems within the Institute. The position requires a high level of independence and interaction with UD Information Technologies to ensure compliance with University policies on security and responsible use.
What You'll Do
- Administers and manages DBI’s large Linux-based server infrastructure and Linux HPC cluster.
- Administers DBI desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Oversees procurement of computers and related equipment.
- Plans, recommends, and implements additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure.
- Plans and manages internal network infrastructure at DBI.
