About this role

Job title: Director Analog Mixed Signal Design - Optical

About the Role Marvell is seeking a Director of RF and Analog Design to contribute to the development of 100s Gbps Transimpedance Amplifiers TIAs and Optical Modulator Drivers. The role requires leading cross-functional teams and delivering high-performance analog front-end designs in SiGe BiCMOS and advanced FinFET nodes.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight of optical modulator driver and transimpedance amplifier design in SiGe BiCMOS and FinFET technologies.
  • Define high-performance broadband analog circuits for optical front-end receivers and transmitters, including TIAs and modulator drivers.
  • Collaborate with systems, DSP and silicon photonics teams as well as customers; define interface specifications between DSP and optics components.
  • Work with post-silicon validation, qualification, transition to mass production, and customer support.
  • Manage individual and team performance; ensure on-time delivery and high-quality deliverables; mentor engineers in analog design and project management.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of related professional experience; Master’s degree with 10-12 years; PhD with 8-10 years.
  • Proven leadership of analog designers doing high-speed broadband design; experience as chip lead and taking chips to mass production.
  • Deep understanding of analog design fundamentals, including detailed transistor-level design, RF/high-speed design (10 GHz+), device physics, and control/feedback loop stability analysis.
  • Experience in SiGe BiCMOS and/or advanced FinFET technologies; familiarity with Optical TIAs or optical modulator drivers is a plus.
  • Proficiency with EDA CAD tools; strong communication, analytical thinking and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience with Optical TIAs or Optical Modulator Drivers.
  • CTLE design experience; high-precision analog circuits (bandgaps, references, DAC/ADC) and packaging/system integration issues.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range: USD 217,100 – 321,230 per year. Additional compensation and comprehensive benefits described by the company.
