Job title: Dining Team Member
About the Role Dining Team Member is responsible for safely preparing, handling, and serving food to customers in accordance with health and safety standards. This role works as part of a team to ensure food is served efficiently, areas are kept clean and sanitary, and guests receive a high level of service. The position is based on campus and requires regular in-person presence.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve food including salads, sandwiches, grilled items, and pizzas.
- Operate POS terminals and collect payment from customers.
- Assist with setup and restocking of food service lines and beverage stations.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and attractive work area that meets SU Food Services, County and State food safety standards.
- Assist on serving lines as needed and replenish as needed.
- Support catering and events by helping with setup and refreshments, to include seating and arranging materials.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines during all duties.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Related duties: maintain cleanliness in event spaces and monitor and replenish supplies; collaborate with catering and event staff as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Education and experience: ability to read, write, and follow instructions; basic math skills.
- Food service experience preferred.
- A valid ServeSafe food handler’s certification is preferred (or must be obtained upon hire – within 45 days).
- Strong work ethic, good communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $20.007-$22.229 per hour. This is an on-campus, in-person position with standard on-campus employment conditions.
