About the Role Rutgers University is seeking to fill several positions across Dining Services and IP&O, including Dining Services Worker A, Cook C, Special Services Groundsworker – Housing, and Grounds Worker. These roles support food service operations, facilities maintenance, and grounds care across campus. What You'll Do
- Guide and instruct groups of Dining Services Workers in general and specialized food handling, dish room operations, and the maintenance of sanitary dining hall facilities.
- Provide dining room services, including cash operations and dining hall support.
- Assist in overall cooking operations and in guiding/instructing cooks helpers, grill attendants, and Dining Service Worker B in the performance of a variety of food items following standardized procedures and schedules.
- Perform diversified maintenance and grounds duties involving preparation of campus facilities and maintenance of equipment and grounds in multipurpose areas of the campus (IP&O).
- Support Special Services Groundsworker – Housing-related tasks as part of IP&O operations. What We're Looking For
- Experience in dining services operations, including food handling, dish room operations, and sanitation.
- Ability to guide, supervise, and train other dining services staff.
- Experience with cash handling and customer service in dining environments.
- Familiarity with facilities and grounds maintenance or willingness to perform a variety of maintenance tasks on campus.
- Ability to work across multiple roles (dining services and grounds/maintenance) as needed.
