About this role
Digitalization Specialist
This position offers the opportunity to support a high-profile rail infrastructure programme by digitizing signalling delivery from material and work-order planning through installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover. The successful candidate will connect field execution with enterprise data, improve traceability and productivity, and help teams adopt standardized digital ways of working.
The Digitalization Specialist is accountable for deploying, supporting, and continuously improving digital processes and data solutions across the OnCorr Signalling project. The role enables signalling engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and field teams to use tools such as myField, ERP, SAP, and GSI effectively, ensuring accurate data capture, controlled workflows, reliable reporting, and alignment with project, quality, cybersecurity, and Alstom requirements.

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Lead the deployment, configuration, governance, and continuous improvement of digital tools supporting signalling engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Administer and support myField workflows for site activities, progress updates, inspections, punch lists, evidence capture, approvals, and field issue resolution.
- Coordinate signalling data and process interfaces across myField, ERP, SAP, GSI, document management, scheduling, quality, and reporting platforms.
- Define and maintain data standards, master-data rules, naming conventions, permissions, validation checks, and audit trails for signalling assets, locations, materials, work packages, and test records.
- Develop dashboards, automated reports, and performance views that provide timely visibility of field progress, productivity, material status, defects, tests, approvals, and handover readiness.
- Monitor completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of signalling data; investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with process owners and users.
- Map current signalling processes, identify manual or duplicated activities, and implement simplified digital workflows with clear ownership, controls, and measurable benefits.
- Provide first-line functional support, troubleshooting, guidance, and escalation for digital-tool issues affecting signalling field and office teams.
- Act as the designated Key User and primary business contact for applicable signalling digital tools, representing user needs, maintaining business rules and role profiles, coordinating access requests, supporting releases, and liaising with process owners, IT, vendors, and super-user networks.
- Own the training lifecycle for applicable digital tools, including training-needs analysis, learning objectives, curricula, user guides, quick-reference aids, exercises, demonstrations, and role-based learning paths for myField, ERP, SAP, GSI, and related processes.
- Plan and deliver classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training; facilitate onboarding and refresher sessions; coach users at project offices and worksites; maintain attendance and competence evidence; and evaluate learning effectiveness through feedback, observation, assessments, adoption data, and follow-up support.
- Manage testing, deployment, change control, user acceptance, feedback, and benefit tracking for digital enhancements while ensuring data security, access control, and business continuity.
- User adoption and effective utilization of myField, ERP, SAP, GSI, and approved signalling digital workflows.
- Completion, attendance, assessment results, learner feedback, and demonstrated effectiveness of digital-tool training and onboarding.
- Accuracy, completeness, traceability, and timeliness of signalling data and digital records.
- Availability and reliability of dashboards, reports, interfaces, and critical digital services.
- Reduction in manual processing, duplicate entry, reporting delays, and unresolved data-quality issues.
- Compliance with data governance, cybersecurity, quality, project, and Alstom requirements.
- Timely resolution and escalation of system, access, integration, and data issues affecting signalling delivery.
- Key User service performance, including response time, first-contact resolution, escalation quality, release readiness, knowledge-base currency, and user satisfaction.
