About the Role Formlabs is seeking a Digital Systems Engineer to design, enhance, and maintain our digital landscape across eCommerce, CRM, Marketing, and Sales/Service. You will build new features, drive integrations with other business systems, and ensure performance, stability, and scalability while collaborating with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.

What You'll Do

• Architect, develop, configure, and customize the backend Shopify B2B Commerce platform, including creating/enhancing Shopify Apps, Shopify Functions & Extensions, and Shopify APIs (headless, back-end focus).
• Design and develop complex B2B capabilities beyond Shopify B2B’s standard features, inside and outside Shopify B2B, with relevant integration capabilities across Formlabs’ digital landscape.
• Partner with headless front-end teams and provide backend data and API endpoints to deliver blazing-fast, SEO-optimized experiences.
• Collaborate with the Salesforce team to architect and develop integrations enabling sales and service excellence, through assisted and self-service capabilities.
• Drive enterprise integrations between Shopify, Salesforce, ERP, DWH, and other internal/external systems using APIs and middleware.
• Contribute to digital roadmap initiatives (marketing automation, AI-driven tools for sales and service, vendor solutions).
• Use modern software development practices: version control, QA, CI/CD, deployment keys, etc.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and contribute to Formlabs’ digital strategy.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer building eCommerce or digital platforms for a B2B business.
• Proficiency and experience in Shopify B2B, Shopify Apps, Shopify Functions & Extensions, and Shopify APIs from a backend, headless perspective (not front-end).
• Experience and understanding of enterprise integration and the complexities of integrating Shopify, Salesforce, ERP, and DWH in a fast-moving business.
• Experience with the Salesforce ecosystem and understanding of Apex, Lightning, Flow, Validation Rules, Automations, and APIs.
• Data savviness: ability to write SQL queries from scratch, and knowledge of data warehouse concepts/tools (BigQuery, etc.).
• Experience with software development and deployment tools: GitHub, Gearset, Kubernetes, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and learn and implement new technologies quickly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

• Shopify Verified Skills and Badges (Shopify B2B: Launch and Customization, Foundations, Discovery and Solution Design, etc.)
• Salesforce Developer certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II), Apex experience.
• Experience with iPaaS middleware or cloud-based integration functions (AWS Lambda/GCP Cloud Functions).
• Ability to effectively leverage AI coding tools.
• Familiarity with various ERP, CRM, Marketing Automation, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence systems and tools.
