About the Role Depositions by Filevine is building a network of commissioned notaries to support remote legal proceedings. As a Digital Reporter, you will facilitate Zoom sessions, troubleshoot attendees' technical issues, and help ensure transcripts are captured accurately. This is a 1099 independent contractor role open to notaries located in North Carolina with flexible hours. What You'll Do
- Facilitate Zoom sessions with professionalism and warmth to create a smooth experience for all participants.
- Troubleshoot technical issues (muted audio, screen sharing, etc.) for attendees.
- Safeguard transcript quality by ensuring optimal audio conditions for transcription software.
- Administer oaths, manage on/off-the-record moments, and handle procedural steps.
- Conduct proceedings in accordance with scripts and prompts; sample scripts provided upon request.
- Uphold confidentiality and maintain a composed, professional presence throughout each proceeding. What We're Looking For
- Active Notary Public license in North Carolina.
- Remote work: reliable high-speed internet and quiet workspace; video-enabled computer.
- Familiarity with Zoom or other video conferencing software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work during standard business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time, Mon–Fri). Nice to Have
