Job title: Digital Print Manager

About the Role The Digital Print Manager will plan and oversee the printing of all mail production, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to quality standards. They will provide leadership to the Digital Print team, including supervisors and operators, fostering a productive, collaborative, and quality-driven work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Manage performance, goal setting, and performance improvement plans for supervisors, leads, and employees.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot escalated production problems and optimize machine utilization.
  • Understand machine capabilities and work with management to propose changes or improvements.
  • Represent the Digital Print Department in cross-functional meetings.
  • Prepare and conduct weekly department meetings; maintain interdepartmental relationships.
  • Ensure all Digital Print employees adhere to established quality procedures; conduct formal performance reviews and corrective actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate with Scheduler & Maintenance Manager to schedule preventive maintenance and ensure on-time project completion; adjust staffing as needed.
  • Review, approve, and submit all Digital Print Department payroll timesheets.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors on maintenance agreements to meet uptime and performance expectations.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to order supplies and maintain inventory levels to meet production needs.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of monthly Digital Print Department inventory and printer counts.
  • Utilize ERP system to monitor department efficiency and on-time completion performance.
  • Coordinate with HR for posting open positions and conducting interviews.
  • Monitor quality control procedures to ensure output quality; review daily job schedules and report issues to supervisor.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3-5 years supervisory/management experience in print or direct mail.
  • High school diploma or GED; or vocational/technical certification; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to maintain an organized, safe, and clean work area.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow all plant, department, and work-area safety rules and procedures.
