Digital & IT Intern, Analyst, Concord Manufacturing - Summer 2027
The intern will join the Manufacturing IT team at the Concord Plant, working with engineers and technicians who manage, modify, and develop control systems and supporting software used in optical fiber manufacturing. This opportunity provides hands-on experience with plant systems, software development, troubleshooting, and cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Support management, modification, and development of control systems used in optical fiber manufacturing.
- Develop or modify software that supports manufacturing, including web-based or stand-alone applications.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to understand needs and implement improvements.
- Assist with troubleshooting software, control system, and manufacturing technology issues.
- Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, documentation, and implementation.
- Support analysis of system performance and identification of improvement opportunities.
- Document technical solutions, configurations, and project outcomes.
- Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations to technical and business partners.
Requirements

Student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Analytics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Ability to learn new technologies, processes, and business concepts quickly.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May-August 2027) with a graduation date of December 2027 or later

Preferred Qualifications

Programming coursework or experience in C, Visual Basic, .NET, C#, VB.NET, or similar languages.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and IT teams.

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
