Virtual Identity (VI) is a digital agency built on Human-Centered Business Growth: combining empathy for people with insight from data to drive real digital success. With around 140 colleagues across Freiburg, Munich, Vienna, and Porto (and remote), we cover the full spectrum from Consulting and UX Research to UX/UI Design, Software Development, and Digital Marketing — always learning in close collaboration with our clients.
Social media is more than creating content — it is about understanding people, shaping conversations and helping brands achieve their goals. In this role, you will combine strategic thinking, creative ideas and close collaboration with clients to build social media presences that support their goals. You will develop content, engage with communities, run social media trainings and explore how AI can improve the way social media work gets done.
What you will do

Own the social media presence of selected clients, from channel strategy and content plans to campaigns that serve their business goals

Develop creative ideas and concepts and turn them into clear briefs for designers and creative partners

Be the day-to-day contact for your clients: present ideas, coordinate feedback and keep projects on track, including the organisation that comes with it

Use AI in your everyday work, from prompting visual assets to helping build automations that make social media work smarter

Look after communities and engage with users in a thoughtful, on-brand way

Run social media trainings that help client teams build their own confidence and capability
What we expect

3–5 years of experience in social media management, digital communication or a similar role, and the confidence to take ownership of your work

Strategic thinking: you connect channel choices and content ideas to client goals

A strong feel for social media, digital culture and trends, and the ability to turn them into ideas that fit the client

Confidence with clients: presenting, handling feedback and keeping several projects moving at pace

A genuine interest in AI and automation; hands-on experience is a plus

Fluent German and English
