About the Role

Senior risk professional responsible for providing independent oversight and challenge of risks related to digital assets, emerging technologies, and related regulatory expectations. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, technology risk, and financial innovation, translating complex technical concepts into actionable risk insights and shaping governance around digital asset ecosystems. Focus areas include blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, AI, quantum computing, and cloud architectures, with emphasis on cyber and technology risk exposures.

What You'll Do

• Provide independent risk oversight and challenge of digital asset and emerging technology initiatives.
• Develop and maintain risk taxonomy, policies, standards, and risk appetite metrics for digital assets.
• Establish and maintain risk reporting, indicators, and governance processes for digital asset activities.
• Assess cyber risks across blockchain ecosystems (key management, cryptographic controls, consensus, node security, on-chain monitoring).
• Evaluate cyber and technology control environments across cloud-hosted and hybrid architectures.
• Interpret evolving regulatory requirements related to cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, tokenization, and cyber resilience.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with technology, cybersecurity, business, compliance, legal, operational risk, and risk governance to evaluate emerging digital asset initiatives and advise leadership on risk implications of new products and technology adoption.
• Translate complex technical concepts into practical risk insights and actionable recommendations; support executive and committee decision-making.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of technical experience in one or more of: Blockchain Security; Blockchain Technology and Security; Crypto Custody (including MPC protocols); Digital Asset Risk Management.
• 8+ years of experience in one or more of: Financial Services Risk Management; Cybersecurity; Technology Risk Management; Operational Risk; Information Security.
• Experience with regulatory expectations and compliance in financial services.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear risk insights.
• Familiarity with quantum risk implications (cryptography, future-proofing).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and architecture risks.
• Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CRISC, CISSP, CISA) preferred.
• Right to work in Ireland and ability to maintain authorization.

Nice to Have

• Experience with regulatory expectations and compliance in financial services (preferred).
• Familiarity with quantum risk implications (cryptography, future-proofing).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and architecture risks.
