ABOUT THE ROLE
A well-established franchised motor dealership in Potchefstroom is looking for a qualified Hino Truck Technician to produce the required labour hours through maintenance and repair work, in line with the company’s quality and efficiency standards. The role suits a hands-on technician who finds faults quickly, communicates clearly and follows procedures carefully to give customers excellent service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide a fault-finding and systems diagnostic service on Hino trucks to aid and speed the work of mechanics

Carry out maintenance and repair work to company quality and efficiency standards

Produce the required labour hours

Complete all forms and documentation in the company’s service routine

Draft and prepare any reports required

Maintain effective liaison with the Service Foreman

Ensure all instructions to mechanics are clear and understood

Communicate clearly with customers and fully answer any queries raised

Ensure excellent customer service by following procedures and processes carefully

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
-
Matric / N3 or higher
-
Relevant trade test certificate: Qualified Motor Technician

Valid driver’s licence

Ability to read all relevant measuring equipment

Knowledge and skills to carry out correct repair work
-
Ability to interpret technical manuals and specifications and put them into practice

Able to speak, read and write English

Computer literate
-
Clean criminal record

ADVANTAGEOUS

Toyota / Hino truck dealership experience

Toyota or Hino technical training and certifications
-
Diesel / heavy commercial vehicle experience

Lives in or near Potchefstroom, or willing to relocate
