Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power Technician 2 in Chickasha, OK.
In this field-service role, you'll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the generators and engines that keep our customers' operations running. You'll work both independently and alongside other technicians, traveling locally to customer sites in a company-provided service vehicle.
We're looking for an experienced technician with a strong mechanical foundation who can diagnose and repair engines and is ready to continue developing their skills on new power-generation technology.

What you'll do
- You'll be based out of our Chickasha, OK service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on generators and engines
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment failures and complete necessary repairs
- Service equipment both in the Chickasha service center and at customer locations
- Perform inspections and testing to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for operation
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Assist with installation, setup, commissioning, and operation of rental power equipment at customer sites
- Work independently in the field and partner with other technicians on larger jobs
- Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate effectively with customers and the service team
- Follow Aggreko safety procedures and technical standards at all times
- Support additional power equipment, electrical distribution systems, and related rental equipment as needed
- You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.
You are:
- Experienced in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of engines and/or power-generation equipment
- Mechanically skilled with hands-on experience diagnosing engine problems
- Experienced with diesel and/or natural gas engines; experience with Cummins, Volvo, CAT, or similar industrial engines is valuable
- Comfortable performing both mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Able to read and interpret schematics
- Comfortable working independently at customer locations
- Safety-focused, dependable, and customer-oriented
- Able to work overtime and weekends as business needs require
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Approximately 4+ years of relevant mechanical, generator, engine, or field-service experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements
- Must reside within approximately one hour of Chickasha, OK due to the field-service requirements of the position
- Ability to lift/move objects typically weighing less than 75 lbs.
- Based on customer/site requirements, may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card and/or valid DOT medical card

Other essential job requirements

Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts

Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level

Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders

Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat
