Job title: Diesel Field Service Technician
About the Role The Diesel Field Service Technician will service and repair diesel pumps and their electrical and mechanical components at Xylem Service Centers and customer sites in the Pompano Beach area. This role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, with on-call rotation and overtime opportunities; equipment-specific training is provided.
What You'll Do
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair diesel pumps and related electrical/mechanical components at customer sites and Xylem Service Centers in the Pompano Beach area.
- Provide phone support when applicable.
- Complete tasks in a safe manner following established safety practices; undergo equipment-specific training as needed.
- May participate in on-call rotation and overtime as required.
What We're Looking For
- High school Diploma or GED; valid driver's license with good driving record; Class B CDL preferred.
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, MVR check, and DOT physical.
- Experience with diesel systems or related education/training; basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to diagnose basic mechanical problems; basic DC electric and circuit testing skills; knowledge of safety practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong communication skills with customers, co-workers, and managers.
Nice to Have
- Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues (preferred).
