About this role

About the Role Roosevelt University seeks a full-time Didactic Faculty member to support the development of a new PA program, with provisional ARC-PA accreditation in progress and an anticipated August 2028 start. The position emphasizes curriculum design, diverse teaching modalities, and student mentorship to advance program outcomes and accreditation readiness. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Program Director, Medical Director, and faculty to support the program's social justice mission.

What You'll Do

  • Accreditation & Program Development: Assist with ARC-PA accreditation prep, curriculum mapping, syllabi development, assessment documentation, program evaluation, and ongoing self-assessment.
  • Curriculum & Instruction: Collaborate with the Program Director, Medical Director, and faculty to develop, implement, evaluate, and revise didactic and clinical curriculum content. Deliver high-quality instruction in the didactic phase using classroom, laboratory, simulation, case-based, small-group, and other active learning formats. Serve as course director, instructor of record, or team instructor for assigned courses.
  • Assessment & Student Success: Develop and evaluate student assessments, including written exams, practical exams, OSCEs, assignments, clinical reasoning activities, and skills-based assessments. Provide timely feedback, academic advising, mentoring, counseling, and remediation to support student success and professional development.
  • Admissions & Student Engagement: Participate in admissions, student selection, orientation, student progress review, and other student-related program activities.
  • Clinical Education and SCPE development: Help with outreach and development of supervised clinical practice experiences across required disciplines, including family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral and mental health, and electives.

What We're Looking For

  • The ideal candidate is a clinically experienced PA who is student-centered, collaborative, organized, and committed to preparing compassionate, competent, and socially responsible Physician Associates.
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA-accredited Physician Assistant/PA program.
  • Prior teaching experience in PA education, medical education, or health professions education.
  • Experience with curriculum development, course coordination, student assessment, academic advising, and remediation.
  • Experience developing exams, OSCEs, simulation activities, clinical reasoning exercises, case-based learning, or skills-based assessments.
  • Experience with ARC-PA accreditation standards, processes, or documentation.
  • Experience with learning management systems, exam platforms, simulation technology, and educational assessment tools.
  • Clinical expertise in internal medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, pharmacology, physical diagnosis, clinical skills, or evidence-based medicine.

Nice to Have

  • Strong preference for prior experience teaching PA students and contributing to program development and accreditation processes.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $100,000-$120,000 per year. Roosevelt University offers many great benefits.
