About the Role

Tazapay is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure that powers cross-border payments. You will partner with product and platform teams to automate, monitor, and optimize our systems for reliability, security, and speed.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS, with a focus on automation and reliability.

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and other tools.

• Manage containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.

• Implement infrastructure as code with CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.

• Set up and maintain observability stacks using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Ensure security and compliance best practices across environments and services.

• Collaborate with product, data, and partner teams to automate workflows and reduce manual toil.

• Continuously improve platform performance and developer experience through automation.

• What We're Looking For

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or equivalent experience.

• Extensive experience with AWS and a passion for learning new skills.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or shell scripting).

• Familiarity with Load Balancing and API Gateway, REST or gRPC and Protocol Buffers.

• Understanding of Kubernetes and Cloud Native technologies.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).

• Infrastructure as code experience (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform).

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.

• Experience with RDBMS/NoSQL (Postgres, MongoDB).

• Experience with microservice architectures and configuration management.

• Excellent understanding of Linux OS basics.

• Nice to Have

• Start-up experience is a plus.

• AWS data engineering tools (DMS, Glue, Athena, Redshift, QuickSight).

• Experience collaborating with geo-distributed partner teams.

• AWS Cloud Certifications.

• Basic security knowledge (OWASP, static code analysis).

• Fintech domain experience, security standards and compliance (PCI-DSS, SOC2).
