Development Manager

About the Role

Tyler Wisconsin is seeking a Development Manager to lead one or more software development teams, align development activity with business priorities, and drive successful delivery across internal and external projects. This role partners with the Director of Development and senior leadership to ensure the team has the resources and guidance needed to meet timelines and quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Directly manage and supervise one or more development teams

• Act as an expert capacity for multiple products and solutions

• Establish and carry out team goals aligned to Tyler Wisconsin’s business plan

• Direct and manage team resources efficiently to meet business needs

• Oversee professional development of team members

• Collaborate with the Director of Development to align staffing needs and resources

• Set priorities and define expectations for development teams

• Supervise, train and develop staff

• Ensure teams meet key timelines and milestones

• Establish project management guidelines and processes

• Manage awards and grant submissions

• Government customer relationship management

• Oversee partner relations and foster a positive image of Tyler Wisconsin as a service provider

• Problem solve and troubleshoot issues for partners when appropriate

• Establish communication protocols for servicing partner relationships

• Maintain global project pipeline and report regularly to the General Manager and management team

• Understand and interpret business objectives and align project development with priorities

• Oversee project definition, requirements, and development with software development and the Director of Development

• Identify, improve and/or correct product development processes

• Serve as a member of the Tyler Wisconsin management team (GM, Director of Development, Director of Product Management, Director of Operations)

• Manage projects for key internal and external initiatives

• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act, DSS/PCI, and other industry standards

• Create updates and presentations for the eGovernment team

• Support yearly budget and month-end processes

• Perform other duties as assigned; some travel may be required

• What We're Looking For

• Degree or equivalent, preferred in area of specialty

• History of managing multiple long-term development projects

• Ten years of project management experience

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects

• Experience communicating with high-level partners and stakeholders

• Experience creating project management standards and improving processes
