🔍 About the Opportunity: Design Section Head Engineer

Your mission as a Design Section Head Engineer is to lead and oversee the engineering design function, ensuring the development of innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective products that meet technical specifications, customer requirements, and manufacturing standards.

You will play a key leadership role in managing the design engineering team, improving existing products, driving product development initiatives, and ensuring seamless collaboration between design, production, and other engineering functions.

💼 Key Responsibilities: Engineering Design, Product Development & Team Leadership

• Lead, supervise, and develop the Design Engineering team, ensuring effective task allocation, performance monitoring, and technical guidance.

• Oversee the end-to-end design and development of new products, from initial concepts and technical specifications to final production-ready designs.

• Review and approve engineering drawings, technical specifications, and 2D/3D models to ensure design accuracy and manufacturing feasibility.

• Lead product improvement and innovation initiatives to enhance product quality, functionality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Ensure effective utilization of SolidWorks and other engineering design tools to develop accurate 3D models and technical drawings.

• Oversee the design and development of gauges, fixtures, and manufacturing-related engineering solutions.

• Drive product standardization and optimization of raw materials to improve production efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.

• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Procurement, and other departments to ensure successful design implementation.

• Evaluate customer requirements and translate them into practical, technically feasible engineering solutions.

• Supervise design validation activities, material testing, and technical assessments to ensure compliance with product specifications.

• Establish and maintain accurate technical documentation, design records, specifications, and engineering change procedures.

• Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce production time, and improve resource utilization.

• Monitor design project timelines, engineering deliverables, and team performance to ensure timely completion.

• Maintain confidentiality of customer information, technical drawings, and proprietary product designs.

• Promote continuous improvement, technical innovation, and engineering best practices across the Design Section.

✅ Essential Skills & Qualifications: Technical Expertise & Engineering Leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Production & Design) or a closely related discipline.

• 7+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering, preferably including team leadership or supervisory responsibilities.

• Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.

• Solid knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, materials, and production requirements.

• Proven experience in developing and reviewing technical drawings, product specifications, and manufacturing designs.

• Practical experience in product standardization, design optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives.

• Good understanding of gauges, fixtures, and manufacturing support tools.

• Ability to evaluate product designs for manufacturability, quality, efficiency, and technical feasibility.

• Strong planning, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.

• Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation.

• Good command of English.
