About the Role Johnson Controls is seeking a Design for Manufacturing Engineer to drive design-for-manufacturability and process optimization for products produced in Gilbert, Arizona. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, scalable manufacturing processes and robust product designs that meet cost and quality targets. What You'll Do
- Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and cost, and propose DFMA improvements.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to implement process changes that improve efficiency.
- Develop and validate manufacturing processes, assembly sequences, and test methods; contribute to process documentation and standard work.
- Support cost reduction efforts and continuous improvement initiatives. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; relevant experience in DFMA or manufacturing engineering.
- Knowledge of DFMA principles, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work cross-functionally with design and manufacturing teams.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
