About the Role Design Engineering Specialist in Zagreb to design and develop automotive electrical wiring systems and data connectivity solutions, using CAD tools Catia V5 and SolidWorks; collaborate with customers and global Yazaki teams; support validation and production activities. What You'll Do
- Design and development (new design and modifications of design) for automotive electrical wiring systems using CAD software Catia V5 and SolidWorks
- Develop technical solutions in plastic injection molding, stamping technology and die casting
- Analyze tool designs, FEM simulations and material behavior regarding product characteristics (mechanical, electrical, EMC, thermal, etc.)
- Participate in meetings with customers and support them at development and production facilities
- Collaborate globally with Yazaki locations (North America, Japan)
- Develop test plans for product validation and support Testing engineers
- Support D-FMEA creation
- Research market trends in the automotive sector focusing on data connectivity product portfolio What We're Looking For
- Mechanical Engineering University Degree
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of CAD software Catia V5 (mandatory) and/or SolidWorks
- Motivation to design, modify and benchmark automotive connection systems
- Business proficiency in English (spoken and written) mandatory; additional languages preferred (German, French)
- Strong presentation skills (spoken and written)
- Willingness to raise output standards where appropriate
- Intercultural flexibility, willingness/ability to travel and align with customer schedules Nice to Have
