Job title: Design Consultant
About the Role Design consultants deliver a world class homeowner experience through in home sales consultations lasting about 90 minutes. They conduct 8 to 12 appointments per week, showcasing Renewal by Andersen’s exclusive products and installation processes and closing solutions that meet customer needs.
What You'll Do
- Conduct in-home sales consultations, including leveraging an iPad and augmented reality to design and build window and door replacement solutions for homeowners.
- Follow established Renewal Sales and measure processes through to completion, submitting necessary contracts and paperwork for each project.
- Drive a personal vehicle and sit for long periods of time up to 1,800-2,500 miles per month to and from in-home appointments.
- Attend and actively participate in sales meetings, trainings and branch meetings.
- Attend technical measurement appointments/install and support the sales project process including documentation, follow through, order changes, discounting guidelines, and keeping in contact with homeowner.

- Positive mental attitude and driven to exceed goals in a competitive industry.
- Basic computer/iPad skills; must have valid state motor vehicle operator's license and/or ability to obtain in-home state license (requirements vary by state).
- Must be able to routinely lift/move items weighing up to 53 pounds; meet and maintain company sales metrics and performance expectations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required OR minimum 2 years of experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Average earnings of $150,000 with top performers in the Detroit region making over $200,000; 10 weeks of paid training at $25/hour, plus continuous coaching.

- Profit sharing: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
