Job title: Design Basis Engineer
About the Role This position acts as a subject matter expert in a program or system role in a technical discipline among peers within a department. It works in conjunction with other engineering disciplines as well as craft employees and is responsible for developing design / construction standards. This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.
What You'll Do
- Plan and conduct independent engineering work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Devises new approaches to solving problems.
- Work within a team environment to create and maintain material specifications, material standards, and process in Utility Distribution.
