Job title: Desig Artisan Eng Accessor (Dbn)
About the Role This is a contract position for a Desig Artisan Eng Accessor (Dbn) reporting to the Assistant Manager (Product Evaluation). The incumbent will be responsible for preparing, driving, servicing, disassembling and rebuilding durability vehicles, with overtime and shift work as mandatory requirements. This is a 6-month contract.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, service, assemble and disassemble passenger and light commercial vehicles accurately and repeatedly.
- Follow test procedures, complete daily technical check sheets, and communicate vehicle problems to Management.
- Communicate test status verbally and in writing; maintain focus and concentration during testing.
- Drive and test vehicles, perform diagnostics/fault finding with solid, logical approaches.
- Work effectively in a diverse team environment and report to the Assistant Manager (Product Evaluation).
- Ensure compliance with workshop safety practices and support ongoing vehicle evaluation activities.
What We're Looking For
- N3 qualification with petrol or diesel trade test with a minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience, or N2 qualification with petrol or diesel trade test with a minimum of 5 years post-apprenticeship experience.
- Minimum of 5 years driving experience with a valid licence (Code B).
- Knowledge of workshop safety practices; advanced driver training would be an advantage.
- Proven and traceable accident-free driving record will be advantageous.
- Ability to gather information accurately, communicate effectively, and work within a team; willingness to work overtime and shifts.
- Strong fault-finding ability and logical reasoning for diagnostics.
