About this role
A Deputy Manager in Application Technology Rinse-off at BASF India leads and develops competences in rinse-off applications, with a focus on bar soap and hair conditioning products. The role involves building regional marketing concepts, supporting key customer projects based on identified business needs in South Asia, and providing technical training and support for BASF’s rinse-off portfolio in the region.
Responsibilities

Lead and conduct lab experiments on application and formulation development for rinse-off solutions, including new applications and performance evaluation

Support regional marketing teams to develop marketing concepts, launch data for new products, and promotional kits aligned with the BASF portfolio

Provide regional technical support for BASF ingredients used in rinse-off applications in South Asia

Analyze and document results, and prepare technical reports and summaries for rinse-off projects

Communicate and exchange technical knowledge within the region

Perform competitor analysis and evaluate performance against competitors

Transfer new technology and products from global launches to South Asia

Support innovation collaboration projects with key accounts in South Asia

Support internal and external customer seminars, workshops, trainings, and events

Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations

Key Interfaces

Collaborates with G-EMP/R Global Development Projects Leaders, G-EMP Regional/Local Market Development Team, Local Sales Team, and the Analytical team at BASF Innovation Campus Mumbai

Requirements
- Education: BSc or MSc in chemistry, cosmetic science, or a related area
- Experience: MSc or BSc with 8+ years of working experience in personal care application technology within a laboratory environment
- Language: Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
