Deputy Chief Medical Laboratory Technologist

For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:

• Cumulative service period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should be in the grade of Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist I or in a comparable position;
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification from a recognised and accredited institution;
• Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Science or equivalent qualifications from a recognised and accredited institution;
• Registered with a relevant professional body (where applicable);
• Valid practising license from the relevant professional body (where applicable); and
• Demonstrated merit, ability and leadership as reflected in work performance and results.
