About the Role Logan Health is seeking a part-time, on-site Department Assistant for Conrad Durable Medical Equipment in Conrad, Montana. This PRN role provides administrative and operational support to the assigned area, coordinating daily workflows, documentation, and communications to ensure efficient service delivery. The position requires professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. What You'll Do

  • Provide administrative and technical support for assigned area(s) in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and communicate the flow of activity, information, and daily operations for the assigned area(s).
  • Develop and maintain a record-keeping system per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s); assist in documentation collection.
  • Proactively anticipate and prepare multi-faceted priorities, agendas and schedules for the assigned area(s).
  • Set priorities to ensure efficient and orderly functioning; assist leadership with staffing, daily schedules, low census, and communications.
  • Understand billing, collections, insurance verification, tracking authorizations, and maintaining medical records (as applicable).
  • Assist in training and orientation of new employees (as applicable).
  • Perform data entry and tracking of information (as applicable).
  • Coordinate appointments/meetings, including meeting agendas and transcription of minutes (as applicable).
  • Maintain professionalism; perform quality control on finished work to meet standards and customer expectations (as applicable).
  • Provide backup coverage for other support staff and assist with department activities as needed.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory (as applicable).
  • Note: Duties may vary by department and are subject to change. What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in an administrative role.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a medical setting.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in customer service, reception or retail.
  • Understanding of medical terminology preferred.
  • RQI Responder within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care.
  • Possess knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to Medicare, Medicaid and other payer types preferred.
  • Current Notary Public certification or the ability to obtain preferred.
  • For the Driver portion: Current Driver’s License required; driving record for last 36 months must not reflect major offenses (e.g., DUI, felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, multiple moving violations).
  • State law minimum liability coverage required for personal vehicles used for Logan Health business.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and empathetic service; ability to manage sensitive/confidential information with tact. Nice to Have
  • Current Notary Public certification or ability to obtain (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other payer types (preferred).
  • Understanding of medical terminology (preferred). Compensation & Benefits
  • PRN positions offer flexibility and coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations.

  • May qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, depending on department-specific scheduling needs.
  • Pay rates vary by department; pre-employment screening (criminal background check, references, drug screening) is required upon offer.
