Job Description The Dental Therapist is responsible for delivering preventive and basic curative oral health services within KTHSMB healthcare facilities. The role involves conducting oral examinations, performing scaling and polishing, applying preventive treatments, and assisting in simple restorative procedures under supervision. The officer will also promote oral health education, maintain dental records, and ensure adherence to infection prevention and control standards in line with public health guidelines.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct basic oral examinations and patient assessments

Perform scaling and polishing of teeth

Provide preventive treatments including fluoride application and fissure sealants

Assist in simple restorative dental procedures under supervision

Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care practices

Maintain accurate dental records and patient documentation

Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control protocols

Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
