About this role
The Dental Team Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Dental Clinic on one of our Mercy Ships vessels. The main function of this position is to coordinate the Dental Team, providing quality patient care and dental health education programs. Collaborating with the Dental Team Manager, and helping the whole Dental Team, the Dental Team Coordinator facilitates the dental team’s patient flow, organization, and more!
What you will contribute

Provide supervision of dental services in the Dental Clinic and collaborate with the Dentists to ensure safe, timely, and efficient dental care is provided

Provide or facilitate dental treatment to long-term crew and Programs patients; provide emergency care for short-term crew

Assist in orientating new Dental Crew and Day Crew into their roles

Ensure adequate supply of dental supplies are available

Collaborate with the Dental Team Manager for excellence and cohesiveness in the Dental team

Ensure the maintenance and repair schedule of all Dental equipment is coordinated with the Biomedical Technicians

Strong administrative skills, including skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
For This Role, You Will Need

Successful completion of Mercy Ships On Boarding program for commitments of 12 months or longer

Supportive of Mercy Ships mission and vision and committed to its core values

Two or more years’ experience working as a Dental professional

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills

Fluent in English

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications

Understanding of servant leadership; able to work collaboratively with integrity and demonstrate accountability
