Position Overview

Wichita Family Dental is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Dental Lab Technician to join our team. This role involves fabricating, adjusting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of dental restorations and appliances, including ceramic crowns, bridges, partial dentures, conventional and digital dentures, retainers, bite guards, and orthodontic appliances.

You'll have the opportunity to work in a high-tech dental office equipped with advanced digital dentistry and laboratory technology. We are looking for someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys hands-on work, and is committed to producing high-quality restorations and appliances that support excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and adjust ceramic crowns, bridges, partial dentures, conventional and digital dentures, retainers, bite guards, and orthodontic appliances.

• Perform denture repairs, relines, and other laboratory procedures as needed.

• Create and modify dental models, impressions, and casts.

• Trim, polish, and finish dental restorations and appliances to meet quality, fit, and functional requirements.

• Utilize digital dentistry technology and laboratory equipment to support efficient, accurate fabrication.

• Collaborate with dentists and clinical team members to ensure restorations and appliances meet patient-specific needs.

• Follow laboratory procedures, quality standards, and applicable infection-control protocols.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace.

• Monitor laboratory materials and supplies and communicate when replenishment is needed.

• Enjoy working in a high-tech dental office equipped with advanced technology, including

• CS and CS6 CEREC ovens

• SprintRay 3D printers

• Sirona MCX and MC XL milling machines

• Primescan digital scanners

• Additional digital dentistry and laboratory equipment

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Previous dental laboratory experience required; experience fabricating a variety of dental restorations and appliances is highly valued.
• Experience with ceramic crowns, bridges, dentures, partials, retainers, bite guards, or orthodontic appliances preferred.
• Familiarity with digital dentistry, CAD/CAM workflows, 3D printing, and milling technology is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high-quality standards.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the dental team.
• Willingness to learn new techniques, materials, and laboratory processes.
