Job title: Dental Assistant (Surgical Assistant)
About the Role As a Dental Assistant (Surgical Assistant) at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Lemont, IL, you will support surgeons and restorative dentists to deliver premium, safe dental implant care. You’ll participate in setup, surgery, taking impressions, pouring molds, taking X-rays, and coordinating patient care.
What You'll Do
- Assist surgeons and restorative dentists during implant procedures and related surgeries.
- Take impressions and pour up molds; obtain patient photos.
- Perform X-rays and Cone Beam imaging.
- Set up and break down operating rooms; sterilization and daily cleaning.
- Schedule appointments in the scheduling platform and manage basic/implant supply orders.
- Assist with adjusting and relining prostheses; support the doctor during procedures.
- Deliver pre- and post-operative instructions; manage patient expectations and deliver top-tier care.
- Maintain compliance and handle lab requests; keep the environment organized and safe.
What We're Looking For
- Registered Dental Assistant with required certifications.
- BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Self-starter who works well in a team; patient-centric and able to communicate effectively.
- Outgoing, empathetic, flexible, quick learner; strong organizational skills and office aptitude.
- Experience with X-rays and Cone Beams; ability to assist in surgical implant procedures and manage patient care.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $25-$46 per hour (base $25-$30/hr) with bonus potential.
- Monthly bonuses up to $2,000 and quarterly bonuses up to $2,000 (approx $4/hr).
- Retention bonuses up to $2,500 per year.
- Closed Airway Surgeries: Nearly all operations you assist with are closed airway, making your job easier and safer for our patients.
- Leadership and support: Onsite dental assistant lead, regional leads, and an operations manager.
