Maven Dental Cairns North is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly, close-knit team on a permanent full-time basis.

With over 30 years of providing quality dental care, we're an established four-chair practice offering a welcoming environment where our team works collaboratively to deliver great patient experiences.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day, combining hands-on chairside assisting with reception and patient coordination.

Job Description

You'll enjoy a varied role supporting both our clinical and front-office teams, including:

• Providing chairside assistance to our clinicians across a variety of dental procedures.
• Supporting surgical extractions, implant placements, Invisalign and general dentistry.
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and equipment in line with infection control standards.
• Welcoming patients and creating a positive, friendly experience from the moment they walk through the door.
• Managing appointment bookings, patient enquiries and payments.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and completing general administrative duties.
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Qualifications

• We're looking for someone who is confident, organised and enjoys working in a busy dental practice.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, with a good understanding of dental procedures, terminology and infection control.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing reception duties in a dental practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport with patients.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive, proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
