About the Role
The Dental Assistant at Acorn Dentistry for Kids in Corvallis, OR, will help prepare for appointments, sterilize instruments, assist the dentist, and take X-rays to support patient care. This role contributes to a safe, clean, and engaging environment and ensures smooth clinic operations for every visit.
What You'll Do
- Update and maintain electronic and paper patient dental records.
- Perform routine dental cleanings and assist the dentist with complex procedures.
- Take and process X-rays and record vital signs as needed.
- Advise patients on oral hygiene and follow-up care.
- Log clear and accurate chart notes.
- Assist with clinic upkeep, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Prepare instruments and equipment for upcoming appointments and initiate patient flow.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Oregon EFPDA Certification, Radiology Certification, Sealant Certification, and BLS Certification.
- Excellent patient service skills and ability to communicate treatment and dental wellness options.
- Strong technical skills with dental and scheduling software.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and experience administering dental x-rays.
- Commitment to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines; strong organizational skills and focus on health and safety.
- Self-motivated with a patient-first mindset.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $25-$30/hour DOE.
- Company pays 55-75% of benefit premiums based on tenure with great coverage.
