About the Role Adventure Dental, Vision and Orthodontics in Longmont, CO are seeking a Dental Assistant - EDDA/EFDA to support the dentist and hygienist in delivering high-quality care to underserved children. This onsite role works with a collaborative team to ensure safe, efficient patient care and accurate record-keeping. What You'll Do
- Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents and educate them on good oral health
- Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
- Provide clear, effective, and encouraging oral hygiene instructions
- Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
- Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients, including restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
- Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children What We're Looking For
- Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
- Active EDDA/EFDA certification or registration
- Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
- Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
- Knowledge of e-Clinical Works a plus
- Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
- Current BLS CPR certification Nice to Have
- Experience in pediatric dental settings or with underserved populations
- Additional certifications or training related to dental assisting Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $20-$27 per hour
