Demand Planner II

Avnet is seeking a Demand Planner II in Chandler, Arizona. This role is responsible for supply chain functions that enable strategic initiatives and help achieve customer service levels in line with service level agreements. The position requires engagement with stakeholders across the organization, including Sales and Supplier Management, to align supply chain and operations accountability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer forecasts and trends using Manufacturing Resource Planning concepts, working with customers and Sales to plan and buy to forecast.
• Prepare forecast models and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and Sales, to assess the feasibility of forecasting requirements.
• Apply inventory management discipline to assess inventory levels and aging.
• Participate in program setup and maintenance (e.g., part profiles, adding new parts, End of Life, transitions, model changes) and recommend modifications to program setup, operation, and inclusion to enhance efficiency and revenue.
• May be assigned specific customer accounts or cross/multi-supplier solutions.
• Negotiate and collaborate with suppliers on channel and distributor policy decisions that impact the supply chain; monitor current supplier and company processes to lead or drive the development of new or improved supply chains that improve profitability, enable sales, and enhance partner satisfaction.
• Align the company's goals with supplier objectives to ensure mutual goals are achieved.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Typically 3+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, or other experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Planning system knowledge is helpful, especially Kinaxis.
