About the Role Volt is hiring a Deburr on 1st & 2nd shifts in Santa Ana, CA. The role focuses on deburring, sanding, and grinding metal parts to specification and ensuring quality through inspection. What You'll Do
- Use surface de-burring, sanding and grinding tools to remove excess metal from manufactured parts to specification.
- Visually and physically inspect forged parts to ensure all excess metal is removed.
- Select the proper size de-burr/grinder to remove excess metal from manufactured parts.
- Remove defects and flash extensions per part requirements.
- Maintain accurate part and/or work piece counts.
- Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job-specific traveler.
- This is a full-time opportunity with 5 days a week, 8+ hours per day. What We're Looking For
- 2-3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Prior experience with air-powered tools on metal parts/products.
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with safety regulations including PPE.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and persistence.
- Visual examination of finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications. Nice to Have
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Grinding, surface grinding and construction background is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
- 1st shift pay rate: $18.00 per hour. 2nd shift pay rate: $18.00 + $1.50 shift premium = $19.50 per hour.
