About the Role The Fox News Deals team is seeking a shopping-obsessed writer with expertise in tech and home products who can research, pitch, and write engaging content for FOX properties, including Fox News and FOX Weather. You’ll cover daily assignments and tentpole shopping events, delivering timely, revenue-friendly commerce coverage. What You'll Do
- Write daily articles and evergreen stories (6-10 per week) and test/review new products as needed
- Research new products and trends, compare against competitors, and make the best recommendations
- Stay on top of product launches to ensure up-to-date content
- Research and pitch new content based on audience insights, performance, seasonal search trends, and revenue goals
- Collaborate with partnerships and growth teams to optimize content for revenue
- Follow in-house style and brand safety guidelines
- Cover tentpole events like Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday
- Participate in editorial meetings to strategize coverage and user experience
- Explore opportunities to grow commerce partnerships via content coverage What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of writing experience with a track record in commerce coverage
- Daily experience with a CMS (WordPress preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including AP style
- Strong time management, prioritization, and ability to juggle multiple priorities under deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to execute revenue-driving articles (deals and evergreen)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with AP Style
- Experience producing short and long-form product reviews across categories
- Knowledge of analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Chartbeat) Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 annually
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
