Job title: Deal Desk Operations Manager

About the Role D2L is seeking a Deal Desk Operations Manager to own the end-to-end commercial execution process across quoting, approvals, and contract execution globally. You will optimize deal workflows, enforce pricing and governance guidelines, and continuously improve systems to support scalable, compliant deal execution and a high-quality selling experience. You will partner cross-functionally to ensure pricing structures align with company policies and drive deal velocity.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the operational process of deal desk execution, from quote through discounts, approvals, and contract execution, creating consistent best practices and governance for scale globally.
  • Drive process improvements, AI transformation, and tool optimization to promote efficiencies across sales, pricing, contracting, and revenue processes.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, RevOps, Enablement, Legal, RFP teams to identify friction points and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to guide and train the sales team on pricing best practices.
  • Build and maintain internal process documentation and training for the pricing team; mentor and enable team members.
  • Guide and support front-line sales on deal structure and pricing optimization within company policies on pricing, discounts, and margins.
  • Provide support for standard and non-standard deals to sales and customer success, from RFPs to contract completion.
  • Perform project work and assignments as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Competencies: Commercial acumen; Operational rigor; Stakeholder management; Decision-making under pressure; Attention to detail.
  • Skills: Strong process improvement, end-to-end project management; Strong Excel and data analysis; Strong systems background focusing on efficiency at scale including automation and generative AI; Advanced skills with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience: University degree or equivalent in accounting/business/commerce; 5+ years in Deal Desk, Pricing, Revenue Operations, or Commercial Finance; strong understanding of pricing strategy and deal structuring; experience supporting complex enterprise deals and RFP processes; ability to manage high-volume workflows; experience cross-functional with Sales, Legal, and Finance; international/global operations is an asset; Salesforce or other CRM experience is an asset; ERP systems experience is an asset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in global international operations is an asset.
  • Experience working within Salesforce or other CRMs is an asset.
  • Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with Sales, Legal, and Finance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary is not disclosed in this posting. USD annually. The base salary range will be determined by candidate's knowledge, skills, education, training and experience and aligned to market data.
