Job title: DC Team Member (Albany)
About the Role Covetrus Albany DC Team Member is responsible for fulfilling and shipping customer orders within a distribution center environment. This role supports accurate picking, careful packing, and compliant shipping to ensure timely delivery to veterinary practices.
What You'll Do
- Pull products accurately and efficiently from stock for customer orders as pick lists are printed, prioritizing products with earliest expiration dates.
- Pack orders carefully to ensure product matches customer invoice, quantities are correct, and all brochures/materials are included.
- Ensure shipments comply with Department of Transportation regulations, including labeling, packaging, and logging of hazardous materials.
- Prepare manifest documents accurately and select the most economical shipping method.
What We're Looking For
- No work experience required; must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prefer 6 months’ experience in a warehouse or production environment.
- Ability to read and understand English; basic math skills for accurate quantities.
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts).
- Physical ability to lift and transport 30 pounds regularly and up to 50-70 pounds occasionally; ability to stand/walk on concrete; bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Must be flexible to work mandatory overtime as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour.
