About the Role The DBSL promotes and facilitates the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) at the China Diagnostics Platform to meet Policy Deployment (PD) and KPI targets, driving growth and innovation initiatives across the organization. What You'll Do
- Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation (QDCI) and Growth (Revenue/Margin) tied to PD and Daily Management (DM) by leveraging DBS tools, consulting skills, and change management.
- Assist site/Leadership in developing a DBS Roadmap (how to use DBS tools to drive sustainable improvement).
- Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching; facilitate other DBS training sessions when appropriate (other trainers from Danaher, Shingijutsu or other).
- Be an active Leader in PD and Daily Management reviews (as appropriate); help Danaher evolve DBS tools (main contact here is DBS Office or DBSO).
- Ensure successful Kaizen events by planning Kaizens with a dynamic funnel tied to PD and DM, executing Kaizen plans, and sustaining improvements.
- Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and wastes; provide expert DBS tooling to eliminate them.
- Improve DBS training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in DBS tools (MBB) for self and others.
- Promote and facilitate associate development in various DBS tools and kaizen leadership; evaluate and approve Associates for MBB certification.
- Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Danaher locations. What We're Looking For
- Significant practitioner experience in functions/areas supporting (e.g., New Product Development practitioner if a DBSL supporting Innovation through improvements in NPD processes); demonstrated proficiency applying lean or growth principles.
- Hands-on and detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture; strategic thinker with strong customer focus and interpersonal and communications skills.
- Quick study who can rapidly adapt to Danaher’s culture and gain the confidence of the Beckman organization; high energy and able to handle conflict.
- Independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations.
- Education and Experience: BS or BA in Business, Science or Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred; appropriate P&L management experience (e.g., 10+ years NPD if supporting NPD, or 15+ years in commercial management, sales or marketing with growth).
- Ability to design, develop, and implement a DBS roadmap for an operating business; mastery of DBS tools (Lean or Growth DBS Tools).
- Superior communications skills; strong writing and administrative abilities; excellent time and project management.
- DBSLs assigned to non-English-speaking locations must be able to read, speak, and write in English as well as the local language. Nice to Have
- Master’s degree preferred.
- P&L management experience in Growth Engine or NPD contexts.
- DBS training/certification (MBB) or willingness to pursue.
- Experience in non-English-speaking locations and bilingual capabilities.
