Data Solutions Architect

Location: Hong Kong

Experience: 7+ years

We are looking for a hands-on Data Solution Architect to design and build a data platform from the ground up. This role will suit someone who combines strong architectural capabilities with practical engineering experience and can take ownership of the platform's design and implementation from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build a scalable data platform from scratch, covering architecture, data modelling, database design and integration.
• Develop core platform components and drive end-to-end technical implementation.
• Evaluate and implement database technologies to support data onboarding, processing and management requirements.
• Work closely with system integration partners and internal stakeholders to drive technical delivery.
• Establish the platform's core foundation and technical standards to support future expansion.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or a related field.

• Proven track record of designing and building data platforms from the ground up.

• Strong hands-on programming experience in Java and Python.

• Solid experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with localized database technologies such as GaussDB or OceanBase is highly desirable.

• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into practical architecture and implementation plans.

• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

• Experience working with external system integrators and cross-functional technical teams.
