About the Role
Gamma's first Data Scientist will turn massive volumes of user data and AI outputs into insights that shape how millions create content. You’ll design experiments, measure what matters, and help ship better features faster. This IC role offers a path to establish Gamma's data function and grow into leadership.
What You'll Do
- Design and run A/B tests to measure product impact and inform decisions.
- Build analytics frameworks to reveal how our AI models perform across user segments.
- Investigate hard questions like what makes a good AI-generated presentation, and why features land differently for enterprise versus consumer users.
- Partner with product, engineering, and design to define quality metrics, uncover edge cases, and guide decisions with data.
- Be hands-on and collaborate across teams, with potential to grow into a leadership role establishing the Data function at Gamma.

What We're Looking For
- Curious and comfortable with ambiguity; proactively asks questions and seeks clarity.
- Hands-on data scientist with experience designing A/B tests, measuring product impact, and shipping data-driven features.
- Ability to partner with product, engineering, and design to define quality metrics and edge cases.
- Experience analyzing AI model performance across user segments and across enterprise vs consumer contexts.
- Interest in building and shaping a Data function within a fast-moving product company.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $180,000 - $310,000 USD per year, plus benefits and equity.
- Final offer amounts determined by factors including experience and fit.
