Location: Greenwood Village, Colorado (On-site)

Role Overview

A data science team is responsible for developing analytics solutions for product owners. As part of this team, the Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in aggregating and visualizing ML model results, conducting ad hoc analyses, and creating new ML models and pipelines. This role requires a self-starter who can drive new projects forward from ideation to model development to delivery, ensuring alignment with existing ML model paradigms and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ML models and pipelines.

• Aggregate and visualize model results for internal and external audiences.

• Conduct data exploration and ad hoc analyses using SQL and Python.

• Perform feature engineering and build models, including training and validation.

• Present insights and results to technical teams and senior leadership.

• Design, monitor, and test production ML workflows on AWS in collaboration with the MLOps team.

• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure production reliability and accuracy.

• Contribute to best practices in model deployment, data quality, and cloud resource management.

• Required Qualifications

• Experience with different models, including logistic regression, linear, XG Boost, and Random Forest.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Strong communication skills for presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.

• An advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, operations research, or other quantitatively focused fields.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python for data wrangling, feature creation, and analysis.

• Experience with ad hoc data analysis and communicating insights.

• Expertise in building and validating machine learning models.

• Strong storytelling and data visualization skills.

• Experience in big data technologies.

• Understanding of data source integration and working with complex, raw datasets.

• Experience with Bash or shell scripting is a plus.
