Job title: Data Scientist, Actuary & Quant
About the Role
You will join Belfius' Data Office within the Risk department to design, develop and maintain data pipelines. You will implement methodologies and technical solutions to support Risk, Finance and ESG projects, performing ETL operations to integrate and transform data in a modern Azure-based development environment. You will translate business needs into innovative and automated data solutions to strengthen Belfius' impact.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and maintain data pipelines in Azure.
- Program and implement technical solutions in Python and SQL.
- Work with varied data sources and transform them into actionable information.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of our data ecosystem: quality, governance, documentation, best practices.
- Work on innovative and impactful projects while developing technical and sustainability skills.
- Be part of a dynamic, collaborative team where your contributions are valued.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in STEM (Sciences, Technologies, Engineering, Mathematics) or economics/commercial sciences, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in development and manipulation of databases.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset and capacity to solve complex technical problems.
- Ability to listen to needs and respond with pragmatic data solutions.
Nice to Have
- Bilingual Dutch/French with good knowledge of English.
- Natural curiosity and a passion for continuous learning.
- Knowledge of Azure services (Azure Synapse, DevOps) and development experience (preferably Python) is a plus.
